What is the VIP Reception before the Gala starts and can I attend?
The VIP Reception is reserved for all our Gala sponsors and their table guests. If you have not paid for a sponsorship to our Gala, you will not be able to attend the VIP Reception from 5:00-6:00 p.m. on the patio.

What is the attire for the evening?
The attire for our gala fundraiser is semi-formal, with a 1930s theme, encouraging guests to embrace the elegance and glamour of the era. It is also acceptable to dress as your favorite detective to tie into the theme of the evening.

What do I do when I receive the auction link?
You can click on the link or enter it into your browser. We will send it out several days before the Gala. The link will take you to an online secure portion of the event site, One Cause, where you may enter your credit card information and begin bidding on silent auction items. An added bonus is that you will go through the check in line much quicker!

Can I share the auction link with my table guests when I receive it?
Absolutely! If you have already sent your table guest names and emails, then they should be receiving this link as well.

Should I e-mail my table guest names before the event?
Yes, please! It would be very helpful and cut down on time at registration if you will send in your table guest names and e-mails to ADavis@TheKey2Free.org.

How do I bid on
LIVE Auction items?
You will be given a bid card the night of the Gala that you can use during the Live Auction. The auctioneer will request that you raise your bid card when you are bidding on an item or donating during the Fund-A-Need part of the evening.

How do I give during the Fund-A-Need portion of the evening?
The auctioneer will hold a Fund A Need portion of the evening where you can make a donation to The Key2Free directly. You will raise your bid card during this time as well, and auctioneer spotters will write down your bid card number. Our emcee will go over this process with you the night of the event.

What does pickup redemption look like following the silent and live auctions?
If you have won an item or made a donation, you will receive a text on your mobile device requesting that you proceed to the check-out tables to close out your purchases and pick up your winning bids.

How do I become a monthly donor and receive my custom Key2Free classic logo Otterbox tumbler?
You will have the opportunity to become a $50/month donor or more by filling out a pledge card during the evening and turning it in at check-out to receive your Key2Free class logo Otterbox tumbler.

What will The Key2Free use my donation for?
The annual Key2Free Gala & Auction is our largest fundraiser of the year. It provides more than 50% of our annual income and helps us provide numerous programs to survivors of sex trafficking. Your donation will allow us to continue meeting the needs of our current participants, while also welcoming new clients into our programs. We thank you so very much for your continued support so that we can, in turn, support survivors of sex trafficking.
